Bed of Nails Relaxation Mat
Want to be some sort of mystic practitioner? Then get the Bed of Nails Relaxation Mat which supposedly helps you release inner tension while lower stress levels and hitting a sense of high in your personal well-being. Wait a minute, you say, aren’t nails really sharp and painful to lie on? Not really, it is in fact, completely painless and is touted to offer virtues in aiding relaxation, relieving you of your back and muscle pain while increasing energy levels. Oh yeah, good thing the mat itself is made out of styrofoam and plastic instead of the old school wood and iron nails. There are two versions available, one with a neck-only pillow and one without, retailing for £19.99 and £39.99, respectively. You will probably feel a strange sensation for the first few minutes, but once you’ve gotten used to it, chances are you would want to lie down longer than initially thought.

Keep the kids occupied with headrest emulators

We know that kids these days who have had a taste of modern video games will probably pooh pooh the 8-bit and 16-bit titles of yore, mainly because there are no snazzy 3D graphics to look at. Well, that’s because they have a choice, but bundle them into a car on a 3-day long road trip and see whether they will change their mind or not. Instead of looking out the window and going through their favorite movies time and again, why not “torture” them with this product from Chinavasion? It is an in-car AV entertainment system which will swap out headrests on the front seats for two DVD players that have an LCD display, an FM transmitter and an NES/SNES emulator for the kids to enjoy, although the generic looking gamepads will make you lose some of that authentic feel. Heck, your $175 purchase even comes with a CD full of 550+ classic ROMS – of course, the legality of the situation is rather questionable. Perhaps this would help them appreciate Zelda in his 2D glory.

Apricorn to release EZ Writer II ultra-portable Dual Layer DVD burner
Do you happen to own a netbook that you absolutely love, but there is just one thing which bugs you – it lacks an optical disc drive that could make it harder than usual to install new programs? Well, there is also the other problem of not being able to burn copies of data from your netbook simply because the netbook itself lacks an optical disc drive! Apricorn aims to solve this problem by offering their very own EZ Writer II ultra-portable Dual Layer DVD burner. This useful peripheral will come with its own integrated USB cable that makes it all the more enticing – it means you no longer need to tote around another cable on your travels, and since it is bus-powered, you will also save on a power adapter when moving around.
The Apricorn EZ Writer II will also do the standard DVD and CD playback as and when the need arises, tipping the scales at a mere 11.7 oz while coming in a black gloss finish and sleek, slim-line design. Not only that, it is easy on your pockets at $54 (after a $25 mail-in rebate). Just in case you were wondering how its built-in USB cable looks like, it will fit securely in a concealed groove when not in use to make its transportation a whole lot easier in your notebook bag. Thanks to its Dual Layer recording engine, the user can record up to 8.5GB of data per DVD, which is more than enough for today’s needs unless you’re one who deals with Blu-ray sized chunks of data – that’s a totally different story altogether then.
Each purchase of the EZ Writer II will be accompanied by a 1-year warranty, where it will also include two leading CD/DVD software programs for burning and playing DVDs, and a USB Y-cable for additional juice if the situation calls for it.

Koala Indoor Faucet Connector

I’ve never had a thought to buy a connector that would allow a hose to be hooked up to the indoor faucet. Yet it actually would open up a whole lot of possibilities. Although I can’t see much use for a hose indoors, but having a hose that could offer warm or hot water could be handy for various tasks though.
One of the big ones is giving the dog a bath. I’ve never liked giving a dog a bath indoors, but it seems mean to make them shiver in ice cold water. If the weather is warm enough you could shove a hose through the doorway that pumps warm water into a bin large enough to hold hot water for the dog. There are other possibilities of course, you only have to think them up. You can purchase one of the connectors for $9.95 through Exterior Accents.

Sink And Urinal In One

At first I wasn’t the most thrilled over the idea of someone peeing and washing your hands in the same place. Honestly, once you really think it through although it is odd, it would save on space and spending money on multiple fixtures in bathrooms. Plus, it couldn’t be much more unsanitary than washing your hands right next to the toilet, which is the case in most bathrooms.
On the bottom of it all is a urinal then up top is the sink. The water that you use to wash your hands is used to wash out the urinal. With that extra design quality it’ll help to save on water, which could really cut down on the bill for any large establishment like a restaurant. This was a iF Concept Design winning entry and for good reason. It was designed by Yeongwoo Kim.
