Samsung: Apple lawsuit didn’t influence Galaxy S III design
There’s no denying that Samsung took a different approach with Galaxy S III’s style and made them curvier than the preceding Galaxy S iterations. The style change was even speculated to maintain the telephone protected from ongoing Apple lawsuits. Nevertheless, Samsung’s design VP Chang Dong-hoon claims that is not the situation.
At the 2012 Seoul Digital Forum, Chang confirmed that the alter in the smartphone design “is a portion of the 5-year plan” and Galaxy S III’s style underwent “hundreds of iterations” just before settling on the final style.
