Cedar iPod Dock
If you’re just not satisfied with all of the modern looking docks out there, perhaps you’d like something that feels a little more earthy. The dock is handmade out of cedar, so you’ll get the joy of smelling cedar while you listen to your music. It comes with 2 USB cables and a headphone jack cable. Candle Powered Fireflow Lava Lamp
I remember having a lava lamp that slowly warmed the lava and moved it about. However, mine actually had a light bulb on the inside. iSafe Bag with built-in alarm
When kids are sent off to school, be it elementary, high school or college, parents are going to worry. It just comes with the territory. However, if you feel your kids could come into harm there are gadgets out there to help them out. One of them is this iSafe bookbag that has a built-in alarm directly in the strap. If the child is in trouble and needs help they can just activate the alarm to get the person that’s scaring the child to run off.

Adidas’ TRON: Legacy Sneakers Revealed At Comic Con

Disney’s upcoming TRON: Legacy sequel is not scheduled to be released for almost 6 months, but it’s already looking like it’s going to give Lucasfilm a run for their money when it comes to marketing tie-ins. These sneakers from Adidas have already been mentioned in previous press releases, but Comic Con seems to be the first time they’ve been shown. Unfortunately as far as I can tell the shoes don’t actually glow (like they should!) but instead include glow-in-the-dark stitching and reflective TRON screenprint graphics so in the right light they look like you’ve just stepped out of Flynn’s arcade. A little disappointing yes, but hopefully there’s a cobbler out there with the electroluminescent skills to make these truly awesome.

BEARINGS GLOCKEN Musical Instrument – Does Anyone Remember Animusic?

Does anybody remember that Animusic animation that ATI used to demo their RADEON 9700 cards? Like way back in 2002? Well here’s an incredibly simple, though real-life version, that uses ball bearings to play a glockenspiel, or for all intents and purposes, a xylophone. The various ‘keys’ are arranged in a cascading staircase so that the ball bearings bounce from one to the next after they’re dropped. The music was specifically composed to complement the rhythm and limited playing capabilities of ball bearings and gravity, but the results, as you can see and hear in the video below, are still quite impressive.

Nadia Digital Camera Lacks Live Preview, Instead Provides An Aesthetics Rating Of What You’ve Shot

Normally it’s not the camera that makes a good photograph, but the photographer. But the Nadia digital camera, created by Andrew Kupresanin, could turn anyone into an Ansel Adams. Instead of an LCD display showing what you’ve just shot, or even a viewfinder for that matter, the Nadia shows a judgment of the aesthetic qualities of your most recent photo as a percentage. The camera, which is actually a boxed up Nokia N73 communicating with a Mac over Bluetooth, uses the ACQUINE Aesthetic Quality Inference Engine to gauge the merit of your photography. And since Nadia is just a prototype, hopefully future versions will be able to provide real-time feedback so you’ll know the optimal time to snap a photo. Who says the Pulitzer Prize for photography should only be for professionals who know what they’re doing?
