NEWS: iBandage brings Antenn-aid to UK
Pack of 10 for ?4.95
Another week another iPhone 4 sticker pack, designed to help you stop losing reception after you’ve performed the death grip on your favourite mobile – this time, however, it’s for folks in the UK.
iBandage is a UK-made thin vinyl “bandage” that offers the iPhone 4 owner an alternative to the manufacturer’s rubber rim “bumper”, which users report to be “bulky” and out of keeping with the phone’s sleek design. ???
If it all looks familiar, that’s because it is. The design is virtually identical to the Antenn-aid stickers released last week and the End Call decals also doing the round.
A 10-pack of iBandages costs just ?4.95 with free UK delivery.
The 10-pack includes extra decals that we haven’t yet seen, including one that makes it look like you’ve not got anything on it at all, or our favourite; one that simply says “fixed”.
Which one would you want to stick on your iPhone 4, or are you just going to opt for a?Free iPhone 4 case?like you’re entitled to.

Recognizing the inevitable requirements from the consumer market, and the way mobile devices have evolved into hand-held personal assistants, concierges and bookkeepers for people on the go, today American Airlines announced the release of their first iDevice application.
The application allows you to stay connected with the airline while traveling. The application data allows American to provide the most relevant day-of-travel information for you.

Although the company has started with the iPhone application launch, American Airlines will launch an iPad-specific application in the coming weeks. In addition, expect more updates as the airline continues to enhance the capabilities of their tool. As expected, the current version of the application will work with iPod Touch (second generation or newer), iPhone/iPhone 3G/3GS/4 and the iPad.
Future versions of the application will utilize your iDevices global positioning features, enable push notifications and international flight check-In, allow you to request and view the upgrade list, along with other functions that will enhance your overall experience.
Features Summary

- Book and check-in for flights
- Create flight status notifications
- Check flight status and schedules
- Monitor the standby list
- Track elite status progress

Arthur C. Clarke’s 1956 letter predicting GPS and satellite TV
We’ve long known about Arthur C. Clarke’s prediction way back in 1945 that artificial satellites placed in a geostationary orbit could be used to relay radio signals around the world — but we had no idea that 11 years later, he revisited his famous essay “Extra-Terrestrial Relays — Can Rocket Stations Give Worldwide Radio Coverage?” to predict the GPS… and more. Tributaries’ Single-Outlet Surge Suppressor Gets Revamped
When you purchase an electronic device for your home –whether it is a subwoofer, espresso maker or even a new garage door opener — you want to make sure it is protected in the event of a power surge. Tributaries, a company we trust when it comes to protecting our own valuable equipment, just announced a new single-outlet surge suppressor. The T1A, an upgrade of the company’s T1, provides 540 joules of surge suppression with an added line filtration circuit for clean power. The T1A is not only compact in size (it covers only one receptacle of a dual outlet), the T1A is engineered with the X3 MOV (Metal Oxide Varistor), offering the most advanced surge suppression available in a consumer product of its size. It also complies with the most difficult surge suppression safety rating: UL 1449 – 3rd Addition. When plugged in, the T1A features a blue LED light indicating your connected device is protected. The Tributaries T1A is available now, with an MSRP of $20 (each). Get more information on all of Tributaries’ fine products at www.tributariescable.com . View full post on BestStuff – AudioVideo
