Time Of The Sky Watch Stresses Style Over Punctuality

By Andrew Liszewski

If wearing a watch is more of a style choice for you, than a means to ensure you arrive somewhere on time, then the vagueness of Ryohei Yoshiyuki and Tomoya Kahimada’s ‘Time Of The Day’ watch would make it a perfect accessory. Instead of hands or even a digital display, the watch’s face changes colors, roughly reflecting what the sky would look like through a 24 hour period were there no cloud cover. Pushing a button on the side of the case also causes the sun or the moon to appear, providing extra clues about what time of day it is. And on a more philosophical level, the watch also serves as a reminder to take a few seconds to look up at the real sky throughout your busy day.

Catch This Remote-Controlled Can If You Can!

Watching someone running around and trying to catch a chicken is so much fun but it becomes even funnier when that chicken is under your control, isn’t it? Well not a chicken though, here’s a Remote Controlled Can (RCC) that you can control, so fool people and add a pinch of fun & laughs in today’s little boring ‘life’.Internal Device of the RCC Catch This Remote Controlled Can If You Can!

The Remote Controlled Can concept from mintpass is a mutant of the ordinary soft drink Cans for it obviously has no liquid but has a unique device embedded inside while it  looks just the same, on the outside. The Unique device consists of a G*DRIVE SYSTEM, roller wheels, a weight which is always at the bottom, Ball Bearing System (for smooth turning) and a Guardrail System which enables movement from left to right. The lid of the Can forms the ON/OFF switch of the RCC, so it shouldn’t be taken off!

Conquest Wheelchair Motorcycle

conquest Conquest Wheelchair Motorcycle
By Andrew Liszewski

It’s not uncommon to see a van or even a car that’s been specially converted so they can be driven by someone who’s confined to a wheelchair, but motorcycles are a different story. Until now, it’s been impossible for someone who’s physically disabled below the waist to enjoy the open road experience, but the Conquest, from a company called Mobility Conquest, changes that. As you can see in the photos, it’s not exactly your standard looking motorcycle, but its unique design allows it to be driven by a person in a wheelchair, while they’re still in their chair.

An automatic ramp at the back of the Conquest makes it easy to enter or exit the vehicle, and a simple locking mechanism ensures the driver, and a passenger, both remain secure during the ride. An 1170 CC engine gives the trike a top speed of 105 mph and a 0 to 60 time of 7.6 seconds, and a set of push button Kliktronic controls allow the driver to shift through all 6 gears (5 + reverse) right from the handlebars.

Hand Made Iron Man Helmet Defines Geeky Art!

If you thought animation has taken over and sculpting and carving a things of passé, then think again, for this hand carved Iron Man helmet is surely gonna woo you.Hand Made Iron Mam Helmet Defines Geeky Art Hand Made Iron Man Helmet Defines Geeky Art!

In reality this beauty is – as clarified by the artist himself – a part of a plan much bigger, which I guess must the Iron Man as a complete unit. But, the helmet was artistic enough to stand out as a project in itself. The helmet presented here is carved by a ‘pro’ user called Seamster, on a popular DIY and art sharing website. The head piece is completely made up of balsa, weighing just about 150 gm, which makes this thing fairly lightweight for its dimensions which account for 14.5 cm in height and about 9 cm width at the widest part of the face.

var digg_url = ‘http://digg.com/apple/Apple_hiring_iPhone_antenna_engineers_for_some_reason’; Three Apple job postings for iPhone / iPad antenna engineers to “Define and implement antenna system architecture to optimize the radiation performance for wireless portable devices.” All three were posted on June 23rd, the same day that we started seeing widespread reporting of the left-handed reception issues. Coincidence?

Documents show that Dell knowingly sold defective computers, misled those needing support

bad capacitor 20100630 600 Documents show that Dell knowingly sold defective computers, misled those needing support

What happens when capacitors go bad, spewing out their tangerine innards like the ones in the photo above? Components die. In the early to mid naughties there was a rash of failures, the so-called “capacitor plague” that affected many manufacturers thanks to millions of bogus units filled with an electrolyte mixture that was a bit off. However, nobody was quite affected like Dell. The company took a $300 million charge in 2005 to cover costs related to the faulty machines that went out with these components, and now we’re getting a better picture of just how bad it was — and continues to be.

According to recently released documents stemming from a three year-old lawsuit, Dell not only knew about the bogus components but some of its employees were actively told to play dumb, one memo sent to customer service reps telling them to “avoid all language indicating the boards were bad or had issues.” Meanwhile, sales teams were still selling funky OptiPlex machines, which during that period had a 97 percent failure rate according to Dell’s own study. (And you thought the Xbox 360 had problems.) With that on the minds of shoppers, plus Throttlegate and some other recent laptop quality issues, we have to think consumer confidence for Dell must be at an all-time low at the moment.
