HTC EVO 4Gs Shipping With New Displays?
The newer EVO’s have recently just come out and there is a huge difference in the colors of the LCD screens. The newer model has a washed out look to it and the older has better contract, the colors are richer. If you look close to it you can see a row of dead pixels that can look like hair from a little further back. The AMOLED displays, made by Samsung for the Incredible, has been struggling in keeping up with its demand. The HTC might have been looking for new displays elsewhere if these two events are related. But whoever is making the new LCD screens is causing the quality of the phone to suffer, using inferior materials. This might hurt future sales of the EVO, including the white one due to release in July, if you have two EVO’s, it’s recommended you check both of them for the display issue. Swype Heading for 50 Devices by the End of 2010
Swype is on its way into the mobile world, its already been seen on a few handsets already and the company eagerly wants to put it on iPhone. So far Apple doesn’t look like they’re too interested in taking the bait. But in the meanwhile, HTC, Samsung and Motorola and other OEMs are perfectly fine set in the cult-favorite keyboard’s crosshairs.

So far Motorola has decided to put Swype on their up and coming, very hyped Droid X. Swype’s CEO, Mike McSherry, believes so far this is the company’s biggest move, but not its last. The biggest news McSherry announced was that Swype planned to have the app on about 50 or more phones by the end of 2010. A lofty goal, but one that we’re sure can happen.

DC Comics Brings New Titles to iPad
Watch out! There is a new contender in the Books category of the App Store. DC Comics’ latest reader gives you another option to enjoy many of your favorite comic titles on your iPad. This means Marvel Comics no longer has the iPad comics app space to themselves.
The digital comics space is becoming a competitive iPad playground. With the advantage of the iPad’s large screen, digital comics have become a great experience.
The DC Comics app, which is free, offers access to Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, The Flash and many other titles. You will get access to the publishers’ new releases and the classics back-catalog as well.
The pricing for each individual issue ranges from $0.99 to $2.99. DC Comics has also taken an interesting strategic angle with comic creators. They will compensate all creators of both old and new digital comics in a similar way they do for print comics. This means the creative people behind all the digital content will be motivated to bring you the best.
With the official DC Comics app, you can download and enjoy great comic books plus the legendary classics library. The app enables you to take advantage of the Guided View reading experience or enjoy a classic full page view. Over 100 comics from DC’s library will be added to the library each month.

Speaking to APC, Intel’s senior VP for software and services Renee James confirmed that not only was the project underway for a summer release, the company would be feeding back their code into the open-source project for other Android developers to take advantage of.
