Customize your iPad with ZAGGskins – Gear Review
If you’re looking to add a little flair to your iPad, why not dress it up with a new skin? ZAGG offers ZAGGskins, which are predesigned skins with hundreds of designs from which to choose. ZAGG even gives you the option to create a unique skin by uploading your own photo or graphic via their website.
We wanted to try it out with our own iPads, so we contacted our friends at ZAGG and asked them to send a few ZAGGskins to test. They even created a custom skin for us using the PadGadget logo. Very nice!
Shipment was fast and we really liked both the predesigned and custom skins that they sent. We installed the custom PadGadget ZAGGskin to test how easy it was to apply.

Lotus to euthanize Europa this year
Filed under: Car Buying , Coupe , Performance , Europe , Lotus , UK Lotus Europa - Click above for high-res image gallery Given the recent launch of the more practical Evora , it shouldn’t come as surprise that Lotus will be ceasing production of the ill-fated Europa later this year. According to our sources, European dealers have stopped taking orders for the Elise -based coupe and production will wind down within the next few months to fill what few orders remain. Just as a refresher, the Europa launched in 2006 with a turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four putting out around 200 horsepower and 200 pound-feet of torque, and in hindsight, it was likely a stopgap used by Lotus to fill the need for a larger, more compliant coupe before the Evora debuted last year. Three variants were available, including the S and SE, the latter of which got a boost in output to 220 hp and an equal amount of torque in early 2008. We never got a shot behind the wheel, but judging by our drive of the all-new Evora , there’s no love lost. Microsoft Commissions 20 New Free Games For Windows Mobile

While Windows Mobile used to boast plenty of mobile games for users, that lead has practically been eliminated, thanks to Apple’s introduction of the App Store. That being said, it seems that Microsoft still hasn’t given up on Windows Mobile as the software giant has commissioned Touch Dimensions, a gaming startup from Singapore to bring about twenty games to the Windows Phone Marketplace, all of which will be free to the consumer. The company is known for creating natural interfaces for gaming and coming up with simple little games that folks love on mobile phones. If you want to check out their work, Touch Dimensions already has two games available, which are Autumn Dynasty and Totem Star Lite/Totem Star Christmas. Do you think that additional free games will do the soon-to-be-outdated Windows Mobile any good?

Nokia will kick off MeeGo effort with ARM-based silicon, not x86

We’ve heard a similar message from Nokia dating all the way back to MeeGo’s introduction at MWC back in February, so it comes as little surprise that Espoo is apparently trumpeting the virtues of ARM for its first MeeGo-powered device that’s still targeted for the tail end of 2010. What might make this particularly interesting is the fact that MeeGo 1.0 is clearly further along for Atom devices than it is for the Cortex A8-based N900, not to mention that Nokia has already warmed up to Intel thanks to its Booklet 3G — but regardless of the silicon, getting the platform solid enough for any sort of retail device by the end of 2010 still seems like a tricky proposition when you figure that the ARM build doesn’t even have a proper user interface yet. Ultimately, it might come down to a question of size; Intel still hasn’t proven that it can scale Atom down far enough to tackle the smartphone market head-on, so if Nokia wants to go small with its first MeeGo hardware, that alone could be impetus enough to go ARM.

ARM: ‘Eagle’ to follow Cortex-A9, will support Google TV

ARM kicked off the long list of Computex press conferences this morning, and though most of the time was spent giving us a history of mobile computing, ARM president Tudor Brown did shed a bit of light on future plans. When showing off the current family of ARM processors, we couldn’t help but notice the next generation “Eagle” above the current Cortex-A9 platform. While Brown didn’t share any specifics on the ARM v7-based chip, he did say that it will provide improved performance, and would be fully announced at “a later date.” Also, when asked about supporting Google TV, Brown noted that it’s in the works; he also said that with the company’s recent Flash and Chrome browser support, they plan to optimize for the TV-based operating system. That’s all we’ve got for now, but as you’d expect, the outfit brought along a load of ARM-based devices for showcasing, all of which you’ll find in the gallery below.

Coolest Sculptures EVER, Kinetic Powered By the Wind

The creativity of people at times simply amazes me and Theo Jansen is one such person. He combines art and engineering to create light weight but giant wind powered creatures described as “Kinetic Sculptures, where nature meets technology”. The picture above does not do them justice, follow the jump to see the sculptures in motion, simply amazing.
