Apple Stock – Buy or Sell?
Straight out of college, my husband started working selling Apple computers to US military and NATO agencies in Germany. It was then that his love affair with Apple began. Some years went by and I was trying to think of a unique gift to get him for his birthday, so I decided on a few shares of Apple stock. I contacted a friend that was a stock broker and during our conversation, he talked me out of Apple stock and convinced me to purchase Circus Circus (you know the failed Las Vegas casino?). Needless to say, I kick myself every time I hear or read anything about how well the Apple stock is doing. This morning I ran across an article from The Sacramento Bee that covered Apple’s current stock price . According to the article, Morgan Stanley analyst Katy Huberty raised her profit estimates for Apple and added its stock to her firm’s list of “best ideas.” Huberty expects the demand for Apple products to continue and predicts even the penetration of the iPhone in the US market had not peaked. With better than expected iPad sales and speculation about international iPhone demand, she raised her target price from $275 to $310 and her estimate for 2011 earnings per share to $17.25. As US and international markets declined yesterday, Apple stock rose nearly 2%. Currently trading at $242.75, Apple has enjoyed a 15+% increase since the beginning of 2010. We finally purchased our Apple stock and with the way iPhone and iPad sales continue to grow, we might want to look into purchasing a few more. Nokia updates N900 to version 1.2 in UK, closes door on MeeGo B

You’ve overclocked it and hacked it to run OS X and Android, now you can return your N900 to its native Maemo 5 OS with the launch of a version 1.2 software update. The V10.2010.19-1 bump now available in the UK (global on Wednesday) packs several enhancements including face-to-face video calling, improved Ovi Maps, and a better email experience with bundled Facebook IM Chat and the ability to accept or decline event invitations from the inbox. You’ll also see a number of new games when the Ovi Store switches over on Thursday.
And after much speculation, Nokia’s also admitting that MeeGo will not be officially supported on the N900 once the Intel / Nokia OS is device ready. Nokia will continue to support the core Maemo OS, however, as demonstrated by today’s update. Regardless, we’re sure that the N900’s active fan-base will deliver a MeeGo update outside of official channels, especially since the N900 is already being used as a platform for ARM-based MeeGo development. Walmart officially cuts iPhone 3GS to $97, potentially clearing out inventory for the iPhone 4?
Well, this is intriguing: Walmart just officially announced that it’ll be selling the 16GB iPhone 3GS for $97 starting Tuesday, a full $100 off the regular price. Given the high probability that Steve Jobs will introduce the thoroughly-leaked next-gen iPhone when he gives the WWDC 2010 keynote on June 7th, the price cut seems like either an attempt to clear out remaining inventory or a way to slide the 3GS down the line to replace the $99 8GB iPhone 3G — a move which would corroborate some whispers we’ve heard today that the 3G is no longer being shipped to stores. Either way, the 3GS just got a lot cheaper, which is never a bad thing, but we’d still say potential iPhone owners should wait a couple weeks and see what’s coming next.

If the lack of Android Market isn’t a dealbreaker, you can slap down your bills right after the break, but we’d recommend reading through our full review to see it in action (complete with video) and find out exactly what you’re getting yourself into.
